Guiding Since 2015

Motorcycle Tours of Sicily

Worn leather, winding coastal roads, volcanic black rock, and the smell of sea salt. Experience the real Sicily on two wheels — on a Harley, with someone who knows every curve.

A rare kind of touring company.

We aren’t a corporate tour operation. We’re riders who fell in love with Sicily’s dramatic landscapes and winding roads. Our tours are personal, adventurous, and built for the people who want more than a guided ride.

✦

Intentionally Small

We cap our groups. No endless convoys — just a tight crew of riders experiencing the island together.

⌖

Not Cookie-Cutter

Every tour is shaped around the landscape, the season, and the riders. We know the roads the big buses can’t fit on.

➤

Local Expertise

Since 2015, we’ve been quietly guiding passionate riders through every curve, hidden village, and coastal stretch.

☼

Real Sicily

We skip the tourist traps to find the authentic masserias, local trattorias, and true Sicilian spirit.

Everyone’s Welcome

We cover Sicily from corner to corner — volcanic black roads around Etna, Baroque hill towns, ancient Greek temples, the wind-swept western salt flats, and the northern coast into Palermo. The two rest days aren’t dead time: they’re built into the most beautiful spots so you can actually sit still and absorb where you are.

Support Van — riders and non-riders welcome

A van travels with the group the entire tour. Non-riding passengers ride comfortably in the van and experience every stop alongside the group. The van also handles luggage — each rider is limited to 2 carry-ons and 1 backpack, which the van transports between hotels so you ride light every day.

⌖ Airport Pickup

We coordinate pickup at Catania airport on arrival day.

🏍 Motorcycles

Harley-Davidson rentals through Catania Harley-Davidson.

▣ Support Van

The Landscape

Fire, water, and ancient stone.

Mount Etna volcanic landscape with motorcycles on a black lava road

Mount Etna & The Interior

Riding the slopes of Europe’s most active volcano is an otherworldly experience. The roads carve through dense forests before giving way to stark, black lava fields. The grip on the volcanic tarmac is legendary.

Beyond Etna, the Sicilian interior offers endless, twisting ribbons of empty road through agricultural heartlands and perched medieval towns that haven’t changed in centuries.

The Coastal Perimeters

To the north, dramatic cliffs plunge into the Tyrrhenian Sea. To the east, the Ionian coast offers sweeping vistas and the pearl of Taormina.

We ride these coastal routes early in the day, catching the Mediterranean sunrise and dodging the midday heat, stopping in quiet fishing villages for espresso and fresh seafood.

From our riders.

“I’ve ridden all over Europe, but this was different. The routes were immaculate, but it was the local knowledge that made it special. Eating at places only locals know, riding roads that aren’t on the map.”
James H.
London, UK · The Sicilian Circuit, 2023
“Not a luxury tour, but a luxurious experience. The pacing was perfect. It felt like riding with a knowledgeable friend rather than being herded by a tour guide. My wife rode in the van and said she’d do it again in a heartbeat.”
Sarah & Mike T.
Colorado, USA · The Sicilian Circuit, 2022
“Riding Etna’s black lava roads is something I’ll never forget. The bikes were in perfect condition and the accommodations were authentic and full of character.”
David W.

Notable Rides

Some riders you might recognise.

We don’t treat celebrities any differently. They ride the same roads, eat at the same tables, and get just as dirty on Etna.

Dee Snider

“Sicily Motorcycle Tours gave us an experience unlike anything else. The roads, the food, the people — it’s the real deal. I’ll be back.”

Rock legend Dee Snider — best known for fronting Twisted Sister and the anthem “We’re Not Gonna Take It” — joined us in 2022 for a full circuit of the island. He rode every mile on a Harley, ate at the same local trattorias as everyone else, and proved that the best riders don’t need an entourage.

Lorenzo Lamas

“I’ve ridden all over the world, but Sicily hit different. The routes here are extraordinary — and the team knows every hidden road on the island.”

Actor and lifelong rider Lorenzo Lamas — known for his role as the leather-clad bounty hunter in Renegade — brought his passion for motorcycles to Sicily in 2017. The tour culminated with a VIP evening at Harley-Davidson of Catania, where Lorenzo met local riders and signed autographs late into the night.

The Founder

Riding since before it was cool.

Sicily Motorcycle Tours wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started in 2015 when our founder, Marco, realized he was spending more time mapping obscure Sicilian farm roads than working his day job in Milan.

He moved south, bought a fleet of reliable bikes, and started taking small groups of friends out to show them the Sicily that most tourists never see.

The philosophy hasn’t changed. We don’t employ seasonal guides who read from scripts. When you ride with us, you ride with locals who know the baker who makes the best cannoli in a village of 300 people, and who know exactly how the tarmac behaves on the north face of Etna in October.
